Buyer

We are now seeking to appoint a Buyer for our partner’s office in Mór.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage existing vendor portfolio of electronics and components, manage commodities (electronics, plastic materials,     fasteners)
• Assist manufacturing and distribution sites during escalation of supplier quality and logistics issues
• Source components, materials and identify possible alternative supply sources
• Send inquiries to suppliers, receive and analyze quotes
• Negotiate prices with suppliers
• Identify cost reduction opportunities
• Support new project quotations and NPI activity
• Maintain the relevant information up-to-date in the purchasing system, data accuracy
• Prepare draft contracts
• Visit suppliers regularly and develop Supplier Delivery performance as well as ensuring any necessary Quality, Cost,         Delivery improvements are implemented
• Review, develop and maintain purchasing processes in line with customer, parent company, legislative and 3rd party quality system requirements
• Work in accordance with the purchasing policy and rules
• Work in a safe and professional manner in line with guidelines

Requirements:

• Around 5+ years experience in the field of purchasing (international manufacturing background preferred)
• Technical qualification, ex.: mechanical engineer/electrical engineer
• Fluency in English
• Strong technical skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Fast reaction
• Strong analytical skills (report understanding, costing, etc.)
• Experienced in suppliers cost break-downs and analysis
• Understanding business needs and changes
• Good IT skills, preferably using MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
• High level of flexibility and accuracy
• Open-minded personality with self-initiative and proactivity
• Excellent organizational and communicational skills
• Result-driven and performance-oriented, definite personality
• Able to work independently but also a good team-player
• Willingness to work with time consuming tasks
• Stress handling ability
• Familiarity with multinational companies
• Automotive experience is a plus
• Ability to start immediately is a big advantage
