Asset Accounting Analyst – German speaking
Please note that this role is a fixed term opportunity as a maternity cover for around 2 years.
In this role You will:
- Inventory ManagementFixed Asset Accounting (w/o capitalization)
- Processing of disposals incl. preparation of disposal journals
- Ensuring proper accounting treatment, particularly with regard to fixed assets management in SL, GL.
- Period end close (monthly, quarterly, year-end) – transfer of assets under construction to addition to fixed assets.
- Verification and handling of adjusting entries and transfers for capital expenditures.
- Screen and review inferior assets, preparation and booking of transfer posting documents.
- Process depreciation in terms of local GAAP and IFRS with appropriate sense check and analyse upcoming deviations.
- Ensuring that all asset movements are compliant with our partner’s Policy & Authorities (Group Reporting Manual), local GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensuring compliance with „Component Accounting”.
- Allocation of purchase requisition, handling of purchase requisition for capital expenditures local GAAP and IFRS, account assignment and clearance PM-orders for capital expenditures).
- Adhering with the tasks outlined in the QMS Systems of GBS.
- Fixed Assets master data processing.
- Reconciliation of accounts, preparation of quarterly reports and ad hoc reports.
- Identification of values for fire insurance planned values for depreciation.
- Ensuring the right assignment of assets to the functional entities through monitoring activities and reconciliation of fixed assets ledger.
- Query handling for capital expenditures.
- To comply with any other job-related requirements. This may be defined by an attached task list or defined by one’s relevant team lead or process lead.
We have the following requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant, at least 1-2 years’ experience in Finance – preferably on the related area.
- Finance & Accounting knowledge is a must, IFRS and German Local GAAP skills are advantage.
- Business English and German language knowledge is a must.
- Language and interpersonal skills with particular focus on client responsiveness
- Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
- Customer- and service-oriented thinking,
- Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure,
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
- Self-confident appearance in relations to the internal and outside world
- Assertiveness
